How do Tennessee resellers go about the Single Article Tax in Tennessee in Quickbooks?

Hi there, @Pam2020.

 

QuickBooks can automatically do the sales tax calculations for you on your invoices and receipts for easy and accurate filings. 

 

To add a tax rate and agency:

  1. From the left menu, select Taxes.
  2. Under the Related Tasks list on the right, select Add/edit tax rates and agencies.
  3. Choose  New and choose either a single tax rate.
  4. Enter a name for the tax, Tennessee as the agency you pay, and the percentage for the rate. 
  5. Select Save.

You can also switch to automated sales tax by following these steps:

  1. Go to Taxes, then select Sales Tax.
  2. Select Make the switch.
  3. Select the pencil icon ✎ to update the address, if done choose Looks good.
  4. Match the official tax agency with the existing agency you set up.
  5. Select your filing frequency.
  6. When you’re done, select Next.
  7. Select Go to taxes to see your new sales tax center.
