how to file W-2 Electronically?

If you choose to manually e-file your W-2s using QuickBooks, you can visit your Payroll Tax page and file them yourself, mcalvary. I'll be glad to assist you in completing this process.

QuickBooks Online offers you the ability to efficiently handle your payroll taxes and filings. To file your tax forms using the electronically, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Open your QBO account.
  2. On your left navigation panel, go to Taxes, then Payroll tax.
  3. Select Fillings.
  4. Click File, from the W-2 Copies A & D (employer).
  5. Choose Annual Forms, then W-2 Copies A & D (employer).
  6. Select Continue. If you get a prompt, please indicate if any employees took part in a retirement plan during the tax year when asked.
  7. Once done, go to the Employer Copies: Form W-2 page, then select View to open Acrobat Reader.
  8. Ensure to review the information, then you can go ahead and print Copy D (employer's copy) for your records.
  9. Choose Submit to permit us to electronically file Copy A of Form W-2 on your behalf.
