I am not being allowed to enter single time activities?

Everyone who's has access to the time tracking feature in the company's QuickBooks Online (QBO) account is allowed to enter single time activities, heath4.

QuickBooks has different types of users. You're authorized to enter a single time activity depending on the type of access you have. In case you're a time tracking only user, you can only enter your time sheets and view time reports. To verify your user type, you can ask the user who has permission to the open the Manage Users page.

Once ready, here are the steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Manage Users.
  3. Find your name, then select Edit in the Action column.
  4. View your access in the User type section. They can update your type in this field as well.
  5. Click Save.

You can also enter a weekly timesheet in QBO. With it, you can record the total number of hours worked by your employee or vendor for a specific week. For the complete details kindly refer to this article: Enter a weekly timesheet.

Moreover, there are a variety of reports from the Reports menu that lets view your time activities. The Recent/Edited Time Activities, Time Activities by Customer Detail, Time Activities by Employee Detail, and Uninvoiced time. The Time Activities by Employee Detail report includes the products and services each employee provided, including hourly rate and duration.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help.
