At this time, we don’t have a workaround. I suggest giving our Customer Care Team a call to add your account to the list of affected users so you will be updated as soon as a fix is implemented. Please have our representative link your case number to INV-78967.

We are now experiencing the same issue, none of the suggestions help and it's juts not feasible to contact a representative to add or remove an employee each time it's needed. I have been working and googling on my end for 3 days now and have gotten nowhere. Do we need to set something up on our end?

I know this hasn't been easy for you. Please allow me to join the thread and share additional information about the ongoing issue with adding an employee.
Our engineers are still working on providing a permanent resolution for this issue. We want to get you back to business with a fix as soon as possible.
Since we still haven't received any updates yet if when this will be resolved, I recommend calling our QuickBooks Online Support Team so they can add you to our notification list of affected users to receive live email updates about this issue.
