I do not have a tax checklist on my QuickBooks Self employed home page. I have verified it is not a browser or cache issue.

Let me share some information about the Tax checklist in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), @julie19191.'

According to the IRS, the filing season for individual tax returns will start on January 29th. That said, the Tax Checklist in QBSE will be available at that time. Refer to this IRS article for more information about filing season dates: 2024 tax filing season.

Once available, you can select the Tax checklist link next to your profile () icon and click a task on the list. This takes you to the task so you can finish reviewing your data. For more details to help you prepare for filing your taxes, read the QuickBooks Self-Employed annual tax guide

Return to this thread if you have additional questions about the tax checklist. I'll be around to answer them for you.

It is not Feb 1, and I still do not see a way to import my info into Turbo Tax and get the free filing that is included with my subscription. Please help.

I got it imported, but it still charges me to file when one federal and state filing is included with my subscription. I confirmed I am subscribed to the QuickBooks Self-Employed and TurboTax Self-Employed bundle. How do I get my free filing?

We appreciate you getting back here in the Community space, @julie19191. We have details to help you address this situation and continue with your filing in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

If you're new to the tax bundle subscription, know you may have to pay the filing fee to have your federal and state tax forms filed. However, if you've been using the tax bundle for at least six months and still received a message that you need to pay for the fee, we recommend contacting our Customer Care Team so they can provide you with the code to bypass the filing fees in Turbo Tax. We'll write down the steps to get you going:

  1. Go to Help (?) and select Contact Us. If you’re using the QuickBooks Self-Employed app, tap the + button and select Ask QB Assistant.
  2. Enter “talk to a human”, then select Continue.
  3. Select which way you want to connect with us.
  • Have us call you - Get a call from a support expert.
  • Chat with us - Start a conversation with a support expert.

Visit this page for more details: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.

In addition, here's an article to know more about why some data won't move to the tax bundle program: Why some deductions don't automatically export to TurboTax Self-Employed.

We look forward to having you here again if you need help filing your tax forms inside QuickBooks. Feel free to visit us anytime so we can assist you right away. Keep safe.
