I have an adjustment for my state payroll tax that I did not make and it makes my payment the wrong amount. Why would this automatically happen in QBO?

Ensuring the accuracy of your payroll tax information is important to us, ar32. With this, I have some information to share.

To begin, please note that any adjustments made to your payroll information in QuickBooks Online (QBO) require your approval before they can be saved. Since you mentioned that an adjustment was made without you these changes, I recommend contacting our payroll support team for assistance. This way, they can review your account and address any unusual behavior or modifications. They also have the specific tools to check and help you address any errors or discrepancies that may have occurred.

Kindly follow these steps:

  1. In your QBO account, select Help (?).
  2. Choose the Search tab.
  3. At the bottom of your screen, click Contact Us.
  4. Type your concern. Then click Continue.
  5. Choose Callback, Appointment, or Chat to connect with us.
  6. Kindly fill out the provided field such as your First name, Last name, Email address, and Phone number.
  7. Depending on what you choose as your way to connect with us, click Callback, Schedule appointment, or Chat.
