I have online but I need Desktop for taxes?

Hi there, brigadeinsignia. I'm here to guide you to make this process smooth and fast.

Are you trying to move data from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT)? If so, as mentioned by my colleague above you'll need to have an active QuickBooks Desktop license number and a Payroll Enhanced subscription.

Once downloaded,  you'll need to export the data to QBDT. This way, you can start moving your files.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. From the Gear icon, select Export Data under Tools.
  3. Choose the data you want to export, such as All Dates or a specific date range.
  4. Select the file format you want to use, such as Excel or CSV.
  5. Click Export.
  6. Open QuickBooks Desktop and go to the File menu.
  7. Select Utilities and then Import to import the data you exported from QuickBooks Online.
  8. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the import process.

I've added this article to learn more about managing your company data: Limitations when you convert from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.

If I can be of any additional assistance with migrating your files, please don't hesitate to add them below. I'll be right here to keep helping. Have a great day.
