I'll ensure you're able to add or enter employees in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

 

There may be some issue with your payment information that prevents you from entering your employees. Let's check if the information is correct on the Billing & Subscription page. I'll show you how.

 

  1. Go to the Gear or Settings icon, then select Account and settings.
  2. Click the Billing & Subscription.
  3. Ensure everything is correct.
  4. Edit the information if necessary.
  5. Once done, hit Done.

 

After that, refresh your page to apply the changes. If all the information is correct and you're experiencing the same, I'd suggest reaching out to our Payroll Team. They can pull up your account in a secure environment and further investigate the root cause of this.

I received an email conformation of my subscription and still it will not allow me to enter employees.  My payroll is due Friday.  What do I do now?

Since you’re still unable to add employees to your payroll, it would be best to contact our payroll support team. Our representatives can provide further information so you can process payroll on time. Also, they can put your account as part of the priority list for quick updates.


Here’s our business hours so you can contact us at a time convenient to you. Then you can follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Click/Type in “Talk to a human.”
  3. You can enter “Unable to add employees” in the field.
  4. Select I still need a human, then Get help from a human.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
    • Get a callback from the next available expert.


Once employees are added to the program, you can use this information to process payroll in QuickBooks. It contains instructions and a video tutorial so you can run their payroll smoothly.
