Buy nowWhen you migrate from QuickBooks Desktop Payroll (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO), paychecks processed in QBDT become regular checks in QBO. These converted checks aren't included in QBO's payroll forms.
Since your migration to QBO was on July 3, 2025, you won't be able to generate your Q2 2025 Form 941 in QBO. This is because QBO doesn't have all the necessary payroll data from that quarter. For now, you'll need to use QBDT Payroll to prepare your Q2 2025 Form 941.
To ensure smooth tax filing in the future, verify that all payroll data from your QBDT is accurately migrated and set up correctly in QBO Payroll before you try to generate Form 941.
