I ran my first payroll and the taxes submitted to EFTPS came out to $385. How can I find out how this number came about? I can't see this number in any of the reports.

I also ran the second payroll and the taxes to be submitted to EFTPS are exactly double, which is $770.  On the third payroll the taxes to be submitted to EFTPS go down to $385.  This is odd.

I managed to figure out why the number has doubled.  There were two pay periods in a single week.  I still can't figure out how the $385 originated.  I'm not sure where to look.

Hi there, lukaszb802,

There's a place where you can see all tax payments you've made through EFTPS via QuickBooks.

That being said, please follow the steps listed below for your guidance:

  1. Go to Taxes from the left navigation bar, then choose Payroll Tax.
  2. Click View tax payments you have made.

  3. Select the desired date range, then click Run Report.
  4. You'll then see different taxes and their amounts.

  5. Click the link under the Tax Payment column. This will route you to the tax payment details page where you can see the liability period and the payment date.

You can then pull up the Payroll Details report to see detailed info of your employee's payroll. Let me show you how:

  1. Select Reports from the left navigation bar.
  2. Enter Payroll Details in the Find report  by name field, then click it.

  3. Choose a date range, then click Run Report.

  4. You can press CTRL + F on your keyboard to find the $385 amount. This will help determine where it originated.
  5. You can also use other reports to get a close look at your payroll finances.

I've added this article, See Tax Payments And Forms to view taxes you've paid and forms you've filed in the system.
