Allow me to assist you today, @Trucks62.

To remove the tax payment reminder, here’s how to record the payment in QuickBooks Online.

  1. From the left menu, choose Taxes.
  2. Click Payroll Taxes, then hit Pay taxes.
  3. Select Federal Taxes 941/944.
  4. Print the page or take note of the payment, date period, and the amounts.
  5. From the left menu, select Taxes & Forms, then choose Enter Prior Tax History, then click Add Payment.
  6. Using the information provided on the Payment Due Details, enter the appropriate information.
  7. Click OK.

This will remove the amount from showing up as due. You can check this article for further information about recording payment in QBO: Recording prior tax payments.

Moving forward, you can visit this link if you need additional information about payroll: Set up payroll. This link contains more helpful articles to help you set up additional payroll services.

I set up QB payroll online, and sent in authorization forms last month with tech support.  I paid all taxes directly.  How can I be sure everything is current for payroll this month?

Hi there, @GSGteam.

You can generate the Payroll Tax Liability report. It summarizes everything how much payroll tax you've already paid and how much you need to pay for your employees. You can also run the Payroll Tax Payment report so that you can see all the payroll tax payments for the selected period. These reports will help verify everything is current for your payroll this month.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Scroll down to the Payroll section.
  3. Open the following reports:
    - Payroll Tax Liability
    - Payroll Tax Payment

I'm also adding here some helpful articles for more detailed instructions in generating payroll-related reports:

Additionally, you have the option to export the report in an excel file and print it. Simply select View in Excel at the bottom.

I'm always here if you have other questions. Have a good one.
