If a paycheck does not show up in the general ledger but is in payroll, is there any way to get it in the right accounts?

Yes, there is a way to get the paycheck into the right accounts, Mcgoey.

 

First, make sure that the paycheck is properly mapped to the right account through the Accounting section in the Payroll settings. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Payroll settings.

  3. Click on the pencil icon for Accounting.

  4. Click on the pencil icon for Paycheck and payroll tax payments and choose the right account from the dropdown.

Then, when you run payroll, make sure that the paycheck is also mapped to the same account. Here's an image for your reference:
