In QB Time there use to be a dropdown menu where employees could select what their hours were for. That menu has completely disappeared, how do I get it back?

We already have the Custom Fields add-on installed. Other help resources keep pointing to Clients but this never had anything to do with Clients before. We're just trying to designate time on the timesheet for office hours, therapy hours, driving hours, etc.

Hello @tstorch! Welcome to the Community and thank you for your question. Hope you had a wonderful weekend. :)

What you're describing definitely sounds like Custom Fields or our Jobs feature. Both of these create dropdown menus on the timesheet to help your workers allot their time however you need. You can edit the name "jobs" to be something more aligned with what you need like "Types of Hours" with options for office, therapy, driving. Here's how:

  1. While logged in as admin, click on Jobs (or Customers/Clients) on the left menu.
  2. Next to the Add Button, click on More.
  3. Rename label.
  4. Type in the desired name.
  5. Click Rename to save.

If you set this up through Jobs, you can also run a Project Report to filter the timesheets for a certain date range or field.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to reply to this post. I'm eager to help you set this up!
