Intuit W2 Issues

We recently changed our payroll company at the beginning of the 4th Quarter 2021. Our new payroll provider processed W2's for our employees for the entire year then Intuit sent out W2's as well for the first three quarters. This created a huge problem as employees received two W2's and income was reported to the government twice. What do I do to have Intuit send out corrected W2's to our employees and IRS.

Let me give some clarifications and mail W-2 in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).


The filing of W2 and delivery depends on how you set up your account. If you chose us to pay and file your federal and state payroll taxes for you or if you opted to pay and file them yourself.


If you turned on auto pay and file, we mail the W-2s directly to your employees’ home addresses starting January 10. And if you've set up QuickBooks Workforce, your employees can also see copies of their W-2s online.
