Is there a way to batch upload my old mileage data? I have a spreadsheet with all my business miles from last year and don't want to enter them one at a time.

Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community page, @jmdoermann.

You have two ways to upload the data to QuickBooks. First, you can enter the total business mileage and keep a copy of the data or spreadsheet as supporting documents if the IRS asks for it during the audit.

To add the total business mileage:

  1. Click on Miles at the left pane.
  2. Tap on Add trip under the Help menu.
  3. You can enter 12/31/2019 for the date under the Date column.
  4. Fill in the necessary information (Location, Distance, Trip purpose).
  5. Hit Save.

Second, you can import the file as long it's from MileIQ and Google Trips.

  1. From Miles at the left pane, click on the drop-down arrow beside Add trip.
  2. Select either Import MileIQ trips or Import Google trips.
  3. Follow the onscreen instruction to upload the file successfully.
