You have two ways to upload the data to QuickBooks. First, you can enter the total business mileage and keep a copy of the data or spreadsheet as supporting documents if the IRS asks for it during the audit.
To add the total business mileage:
- Click on Miles at the left pane.
- Tap on Add trip under the Help menu.
- You can enter 12/31/2019 for the date under the Date column.
- Fill in the necessary information (Location, Distance, Trip purpose).
- Hit Save.
Second, you can import the file as long it's from MileIQ and Google Trips.
- From Miles at the left pane, click on the drop-down arrow beside Add trip.
- Select either Import MileIQ trips or Import Google trips.
- Follow the onscreen instruction to upload the file successfully.
