Ensuring your Arizona payroll tax is paid on time is critical to running a business, Keith.
It's our top priority to ensure that all your taxes are filed accurately and timely. We understand the importance of staying compliant with the tax regulations and avoiding penalties or legal issues arising from non-payment or late payment. That's why we always strive to provide the necessary guidance and support to ensure your tax payments are processed correctly and on time.
There are several factors that could be causing your Arizona payroll tax not to be paid automatically in QuickBooks Online. Firstly, ensuring that you have enabled the E-Pay feature in QuickBooks Online and appropriately set up your bank account for automatic payments is essential. To do this, navigate to the Taxes menu, select Payroll Tax, and make sure your Automated taxes and forms is On. If not, let's click the Change setting, and under Taxes and forms, mark-check the Automate taxes and forms box, then click Save and Done. From there, you can follow the prompts to set up your bank account for automatic payments.
Another essential factor to check is your tax payment schedule. You should ensure the payment schedule is correctly set up in QuickBooks Online, depending on your business's specific needs and requirements. If you need help setting up your payment schedule, consult the Arizona Department of Revenue's website or contact their customer support team for assistance.
To verify the tax deposit schedule, here's how:

I would also like to add that depending on when you set your taxes to being "automated", if you go to the tab Taxes>Payroll Taxes>Payments tab at the top- it will tell you which taxes you will need to pay and when QB will start paying them for you. Same with the filings at the top, check also when QB will start filing for you. This will also show in your payroll settings under the tax filing tab. If you just changed these settings today and your taxes are due tomorrow, it just isn't going to happen that fast. But it does tell you when QB will start taking over this task for you.
