Let me clarify things about the discontinuation of other QuickBooks Desktop versions. Also, about updating the Maryland Withholding, CCarroll0627.
QuickBooks Desktop is planning to stop selling several products to U.S. new subscribers after July 31, 2024. However, existing subscribers are not impacted by this change. QuickBooks Desktop Plus and Desktop Payroll subscribers can renew their subscriptions. They can do this after July 31, 2024. We will keep giving security updates. We will also give product updates and support to existing subscribers.
This change does not impact QuickBooks Enterprise products. Customers can still buy Enterprise subscriptions after July 31, 2024.
Here's a list of which products will be affected by our step sale:
- QuickBooks Mac Plus
- QuickBooks Pro Plus
- QuickBooks Premier Plus
- QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll
You can learn more about our official discontinuation policy in our article on stopping QuickBooks service.
If you're using QBDT, you'll need to update your payroll tax table. This update lets you continue to pay the Maryland withholding using the latest updates and releases. For more details, open this link: Get the latest payroll news and updates in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.
