VEC demands e-file but my form is for print-how do I change it?
Let me guide you through the steps on how you can e-file payroll forms in QuickBooks, bodi48.
You need to complete any e-file and e-pay setup tasks on your To Do List so you can have automated tax payments and form filings. Or be able to initiate payments and filings electronically.
Here's how:
In some cases, you are required to send additional forms. Contact us to send the forms by clicking the Help section in your online payroll, select Contact us to connect with payroll support.
You'll receive an email as soon as you can e-file and pay taxes for the new state. Note that the enrollment lead time varies per state.

Find your state and click the link from the Unemployment column to open the Virginia Employment Commission. It gives you the option to file forms online.

I have been trying to file with the state of Virginia to obtain the records needed to get a VEC number for my company. I have been asked by QBs to complete these steps, but I am having no luck contacting the VEC (Virginia Employment Commission). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. We filed back April 2024 and have had no luck in emails or phone calls. Thank you.

If you've registered online, you'll get notified about the filing status via email. You can check your spam or junk folder. If not there, contact the state agency by going to their website to get those records, as they're the only ones who can provide that information.
