I'm here to share some information about why you got locked out and help you work on your payroll soon, @sheenashep.

QuickBooks Desktop 2018 is an outdated version of QuickBooks. After May 31, 2022, access to add-on services will be discontinued for QuickBooks Desktop for Windows 2019 and older. 

This means that your access to QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Services, Live Support, Online Backup, Online Banking, and other services through QuickBooks Desktop 2019 software will be discontinued. This also means you won't receive critical security updates starting June 1, 2022. 

If you wish to work on your payroll, you'll have to use a supported version of QuickBooks. For detailed info, please see this article: Upgrade QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, or Enterprise. 

Then, reset your password to get back into your company file. Please check out this link for more information: Reset your password for QuickBooks Desktop.

Then keep your software up-to-date so you always have the latest features and fixes and get the newest payroll tax table in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll to stay compliant with paycheck calculations.

You will need to have a supported QBD version to integrate with QB Payroll or a 3rd party payroll program. You can still purchase the one time license for QBD 2021 if required to upgrade your version.
