Pay Contractors with Direct Deposit

Let’s perform the browser troubleshooting steps so you can set up the direct deposit for contractors.

You can start by opening QBO via the incognito mode or private browsing. This type of session blocks websites from data and is a good place to start to see if the issue is caused by the cache.

Here’s how to bring up a private window for each browser:

• For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
• For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
• For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

If you’re able to set up the direct deposit, you go back to your main browser and clear the cache. The cache stores temporary internet files from your browsing history to help your browser quickly load the pages.

If none of these suggestions work, I recommend you get in touch with our QBO Care Team for further assistance. They have tools to check why the program will not accept your SSN. Then, guide you through the steps to fix the issue once the solution is available.

To reach them:

1. Click on the Help icon at the top to display the QB Assistant window.
2. From there, tap the Talk to a human menu and enter the issue/topic.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
4. Select Message an agent for real-time assistance or Get a callback.
