i try to download payroll from a third party (not quick books) is it possible?
Thanks for coming back here on this thread, @cp1472.
Allow me to share some information about downloading payroll on QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
Currently, downloading payroll data from a third party isn't possible. The closest workaround that I can think of right now is creating a Journal Entry (JE) for your first payroll. This way, you can record the data in your account.
Here's how:
For more guidance, check out this article: Create a journal entry in QuickBooks Desktop for Windows or Mac.
Also, any payroll-related reports are unavailable in the system since there are no payroll data on your account. However, you can always access the JE report to review all the payroll details you've entered. Then customize it to show specific information.
You may refer to this page about customizing and memorizing report: Understand reports.
