payroll and employee download

You can download Customer, Vendor, Payroll list, and Transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.

Example: 

• Export Customer/Vendor/Employee list if you want to export customer/vendor/employee data such as name, balances and contact information.
• Export Transactions if you want to export transactions (either by name or transaction type). 

Also, You'll have to make sure you've latest release QuickBooks Desktop and latest tax table.

i try to download payroll from a third party (not quick books) is it possible?

Allow me to share some information about downloading payroll on QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). 

Currently, downloading payroll data from a third party isn't possible. The closest workaround that I can think of right now is creating a Journal Entry (JE) for your first payroll. This way, you can record the data in your account. 

Here's how: 

1. Go to the Company menu and choose Make General Journal Entries.
2. Pick an exact date in the field. 
3. Fill out the Account, Debit, Credit, and others
4. Tap Save and close.

Also, any payroll-related reports are unavailable in the system since there are no payroll data on your account. However, you can always access the JE report to review all the payroll details you've entered. Then customize it to show specific information.
