Join nowThe payroll items are set up so that if you edit the description on one of the items on an employee's pay setup it goes global and affects all employees. We have employees that serve different purposes and are paid differently for them. While the amount paid is different per individual the description is the one that is going global. How do I create a custom field that will only show up for one or two employees?

Custom fields are great additions to the employee's payroll information, Kierstin.
Adding these fields to particular employees in payroll is currently not available. It would be best to send feedback to our developers about having this option in QBO.
