Payroll templates

I was wondering if it is possible to set up a template in Payroll and assign it to new employees automatically.

Same schedule,

Same sort of deductions,

Same rates,

Then adjust accordingly...

Thanks for your thoughts on this.

It's great having you back in on this thread, Tedmhind.

I can see the relevance of having the ability to calculate the correct amounts easily in your payroll. However, this tool is unavailable in QuickBooks. To help you address the overtime calculations, you can check out third-party applications available in the QuickBooks apps store. To do that:

Click on this link: QuickBooks Apps Store.
Enter a keyword of the feature you need.
Select the app you want to use.

Great idea you have there, Tedmhind.

The option to set up a Payroll template for employee profiles is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I can see how having this option can aid you in managing your business flawlessly. I recommend sending your feedback to our Product Development Team so they can review it and might consider implementing it in the future.

Here's how.

Go to the Gear icon.
Select Feedback.
Enter your comments or product suggestions.
Then select Next to submit.

Moreover, you can check out this article, which will give you a closer look at your employee's total wages, deductions, and tax information for a certain period: Run payroll reports.
