Payroll testing and voiding 250 checks

We have QB Desktop 2021 with self Payroll

We ran 2 payroll test, to check how the checks will come out.
Each payroll has 100+ checks.

I contacted customer support, they said we need to manually void each check. We have about 250+ checks to void. Very time consuming.

We are new to QB, and according to other users complains, QB lacks bulk edits capabilities. Most time consuming tasks need to be done one by one. In addition the user interface isn't that friendly, so it takes a large amount of time for companies with 100+ employees.

We read, that customers are requesting bulk edits features for many years, but QB won't implement the feedback.

I don't think we'll stick with QB long enough. It's too time consuming, and customer service also is very slow. They ask too many verification questions, then they forget the customer question, or they send links to a different product. Very few customer support agents are actually helpful.

How do you guys deal with lack of bulk edits?

This QB company structure is not built for high performance customers activities, actually it slows down customers and their business.

Payroll testing and voiding 250 checks

Hi there, DesktopPayroll2021.

I appreciate you letting us know about your experience reaching out to our Payroll Team, especially the process of deleting paychecks.

Feedback like this will help improve the level of service we provide to our customers including the products’ features. I suggest sending feedback about the batch deletion of paychecks for inclusion in future updates.

Here’s how:

  1. Press the Help menu in the upper right to choose Send Feedback Online and Product Suggestions.feedback dt.1.png
  2. In the QuickBooks Feedback window, select Product Suggestion in the Type of Feedback drop-down.
  3. Click the Product Area drop-down and pick Payroll & Employees .
  4. Type your thoughts and ideas about the product in the field box.
  5. Fill in the remaining boxes and click Send Feedback.feedback dt.png

In regard to voiding your paychecks, I still recommend following the solution shared by our Payroll Team. Let’s manually void each transaction to remove it QuickBooks. Here’s a helpful guide that will walk you through the process: Delete or void employee paychecks.

Also, create a backup of the company file before running payroll. This way, you’ll have a copy of your previous transactions.

I want to make sure you’re acclimated to QuickBooks features and processes. That’s why I’m adding a link to our self-help articles: Get started.
