Payroll update 22001 is crashing the payroll setup function when trying to edit employee tax data. When will an update fix this?

If you're having issues while working in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll after a recent update, I suggest running the Repair Tool. This fixes common data file issues. Here's how:

1. Create a back up your company file.
2. Reboot your computer and close all programs before repairing QuickBooks.
3. Tap the Windows Start Menu button at the bottom left corner of the computer's screen.
4. Go to the Control Panel and select Programs and Features.
5. Click on Uninstall a program.
6. Pick QuickBooks from the list and press Uninstall/Change.
7. Hit Continue, then Next.
8. Mark the Repair radio button, then Next.
9. Once the Repair is complete, click Finish.
10. Restart your computer when prompted.

1. Go to the Help menu.
2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.

This is not solved. It is happening in QB 2018, 2019, and 2020 so it is a problem with the update not the software.

Also Oregon vouchers OTC and ST-V are not final. Any idea when a new payroll update will come out

This can happen when your data lists are damaged. We can re-sort them to get this fixed. You can learn more information on how to Re-sort lists in this article. After re-sorting them, we can run the Verify Rebuild in QuickBooks Desktop.

To Verify data:

1. Go to the Window menu, select Close All.
2. From the File menu, choose Utilities then select Verify Data.
   

To Rebuild data:

1. Click the File menu.
2. Select Utilities, then Rebuild data.

Not a fix. This is happening on multiple computers, multiple company files, and multiple versions of QB. I contacted support and it is a known/reported issue that tech is working to fix.
