Per Diem

Please know that we're constantly improving our product features to improve our customer's experience while using QuickBooks Desktop. While the option to assign per diem to a specific job is unavailable, I agree with the customer representative you've tried to reach out via phone to submit this feature request to our Product Development Team.

I understand that this can benefit you and your business. Thus, sending this suggestion can let them review and determine what features to add for future product enhancements. 

Here’s how:

1. From the top menu bar, choose Send Feedback Online.
2. Click on Product Suggestion.
3. Click on the drop-down for Type of Feedback and select Product Suggestion.
4. Select the Product Area, then enter your thoughts and suggestions.
5. Once done, select Send Feedback.

I made the product improvement suggestion friday night after I got off the phone with the lady that helped me.  She also put a note in about it.

This should be something that can be fixed ASAP so that accounting is accurate and we don't have to waste HOURS AND HOURS each week calculating and doing journal entries to get costs to the correct job.

It is really a let down that accounting software won't let you do the accounting correctly without having to do work arounds.  We waste many hours a week doing journal entries to fix the per diem to be able to charge it to the correct job. 

The fix is simple and should be done ASAP to let you select the job the per diem belongs to. It should not just split it evenly to all jobs during that pay period.  Why on earth anyone things you should split it evenly to between all jobs and not let you select where it goes is mind boggling

It seriously makes me think about changing accounting software for my business if this cante be fixed VERY SOON as it is an easy fix!
