It sounds like your employee may be listed as inactive. Let's get the employee to appear as active in QuickBooks Desktop.
1. Please navigate to the Employee Center and make sure at the top of the names, it is All Employee, not only showing Active.
2. See the left column with the X. Click and remove the X for that name.
3. If you've entered a termination date for that employee, don't overlook removing the date.
4. Whether the employee is active or not, they will show in the list and drop-downs for your selection. If they have a termination date, they won't show in Payroll to be paid.
For further information on printing the payroll report, take a look at View, and print past Payroll Confirmation reports.
