Join nowHey QB. If you were like, "What can I do to make someone's day really really hard on them and make them hate running payroll?" you have succeeded by taking away Intuit and switching to Core. My Overview Tab does not work, it randomly downloads Logo.htm, I have union employees that work in several different locations making their pay rate/dues different (Core does not appear to be good with this), If I mess up on the pay rate, I can't just edit the pay rate in the unapproved paycheck...I have to delete the whole thing and start aaaaalllllllll over. This is only some of the things I hate. Payroll literally takes me 5 times longer. Not too happy over here. About to start looking for a new payroll company.
Let me make up to you about your payroll issues in QuickBooks Online, Bec2.
Sometimes, your browser stores cache, which causes information to be missing on a page. I'm here to help you perform some troubleshooting steps to get the Overview tab to work as expected.
You can start by opening your company in an incognito or private browser. You can use the keyboard shortcut below:
If it works, please return to the regular browser and clear the cache to speed up the loading process of the QBO website and for the system to start fresh. You can also use a different browser as an alternate solution.
Concerning editing the pay rate, you can generally modify an unapproved paycheck. To see the list of what you can and can't edit, please check this article: Change an employee paycheck.
I'll be right here to keep helping if you have any additional questions about the issues.
It's not an issue with the cache. I have 2 different computers (one is very new and rarely used) and the overview tab does not work on either computer. I use Safari so I'm wondering if Core is not great with Safari. Intuit was and I really miss Intuit :(
And every time I go to export something into QB Desktop, Core downloads the exported item as a .iff document. So I have to click on the .iif download, then QB has to backup the company file, then it will export. Intuit was just so much quicker.
This is not the kind of service we want you to experience, Bec2.
Since the solution above doesn't eliminate the problem, I would suggest contacting our support team. They have the tools to take a look at your account and verify what causes the unexpected behavior. Here's how:
Please keep in touch if there's anything else I can do to help you succeed with QuickBooks. I've got your back. Have a great day and be safe.
