I manually enter timesheets for my employees and the hours are tracked by jobs. I pay employees weekly. My Timesheet data did not transfer over to my Payroll accurately. It is using some employee's timesheets from the previous week. I re-created the paycheck manually as I spent 3 hours on the phone with intuit and had no answers. I am still having issues when I go to check on payroll Summary. My hours for the week of 10.3.2022-10.9.2022 are accurate. My hours for the week of 10.10.2022-10.16.2022 are confused and including some hours worked from the previous week and the jobs worked in the previous week. I have tried all of these things:
1. Payroll Update
2. Manage Service Key
3. QuickBooks Update
4. Verify/ Rebuild data
5. Payroll Check-Up
6. Hardware Space on my computer
Nothing is fixing this problem. I also have had to pay into the quarterly 941's the last (2) quarters due to tax miscalculations which has never happened in the past.
Please help in any way!
Thank you!
Hi there, CB2224.
I appreciate you for sharing detailed information about your concern and for performing some steps to fix the issue. I understand that things have been challenging for you with employees' timesheets that didn't transfer properly into the payroll data. I'll ensure you'll be routed to the right person to investigate the cause of the issue and able to transfer the data accurately.
When you run payroll and create an employee's paycheck but the data from the timesheet is missing, the details below are the possible causes of this matter.
To start fixing this, I recommend making sure that time tracking is turned on in your company preferences.
Here's how:
If the problem persists, you can open this article to view extra details on how to perform another step to resolve the issue: Fix a paycheck with missing timesheet info.
If the problem continues to occur, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team again. I can see that you already contacted them but they can pull up your account in a secure environment which we're unable to do it here in the Community. They'll be able to check the reason why timesheet data did not transfer over to your payroll accurately.
Lastly, you may refer to this article to see information on how you can print a blank and weekly timesheet in QBDT: Create and print timesheets.
I'm only a few clicks away if you need further assistance in managing timesheets in QuickBooks, CB2224. It's always my pleasure to help you out again. Have a great day!
Good Morning ChristieAnn,
Thank you for your swift response and suggestions. I did check all of the possible causes of the matter you suggested and none of those items are issues. Everything is correct form the timesheet standpoint and how the company has set up the time tracking. I even went in and individually checked each employee’s data to ensure the time tracking application was on. I am unsure why it is catching this issue.
In the articles you referenced- I checked my data on the report Time by Name for the Week 10.10.2022-10.16.2022 this is in fact showing up accurately. However, when I do a report for Payroll Summary for the Week 10.10.2022-10.16.2022, this is showing hours worked and jobs/class codes that were from the previous week. Do you have any other suggestions, knowing this information?
I am apprehensive to contact the support team again as I do not want to spend hours explaining my process over and over to multiple Support team members as I did earlier this week with no sure explanation and multiple disconnections/ transfers. I would just love to be able to communicate through this forum and find a solution!
Kindly,
CB224
Hello CB2224,
I am having this same issue! It just started for me a couple of weeks ago. I see by the date of your post that your problems began longer ago. Have you resolved your issue and, if so, how? I am at a loss as to how this happened and how to fix it.
Thanks for joining the conversation, @CKLCJ. Let me chime in and ensure you'll get the assistance you need in correcting the timesheet data when transferring to payroll in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
If the issue persists after following the steps above, it's best to get in touch with our customer support. This way, we can request a screen-sharing session with them in a secure setting so they can identify what's causing the issue. They'll also be able to walk you through transferring the timesheet data correctly.
To do that:
In QBDT, we can run a Payroll Summary report for any date range or group of employees to get a quick view of your payroll totals, including employee taxes and contributions.
You can always get back to us if you have further clarifications about payroll. We're always available to take care of your concerns. Take care, and have a great day.
Our company is having the same issue. This just started for us about 3 payrolls ago (6 weeks). This seems to be a QuickBooks glitch in the backend! The Steps indicated do not resolve the issue and I do not have time sit on the phone for hours to resolve.
