QB Online Payroll - How to seperate Different Properties for Labor

I am trying to separate costs for different locations where our employees work. For example, if you work at property one on Monday -Thursday and then property two on Friday. Is there a way I can separate it through payroll? Or is my only option is a journal entry?

QB Online Payroll - How to seperate Different Properties for Labor

Hi Cherie,

Thank you for posting your concern about splitting payroll cost per location.

Splitting payroll costs between work locations is not currently available, so yes, you can consider making journal entries. However, I recommend seeking help from an accounting professional as we cannot advise what categories to use in your journal entries.

On the other hand, I can see how much it would help if you can split the cost, so I recommend submitting this a suggestion from your QBO company. That way, our engineers can consider adding such an option in future updates.

  1. Click on the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Feedback.
  3. Enter a sentence or two to describe your feedback and click Next.
