QuicBooks Online Payroll--exporting payroll to QB Mac Plus Desktop 24

So last week I installed the update for QB Mac Plus 2024 Desktop. Everything seemed fine. Came in on Sunday, June 30 to run payroll. Completed payroll/checks and exported it. QB Online Payroll says it was exported. Open QB Mac Plus on the desktop to import files. No payroll files there. Where did they go?

Since there's no file to import, it's best to contact our Payroll Support team. They have the necessary tools to access your account and address any issues about the export of payroll data on your behalf.

Here's how:

Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
Select Contact Us.
Give a brief description of your issue, then choose Continue.
Choose to chat with us or Have us call you.

Thanks for the quick reply. So this afternoon I opened QB Online Payroll and went back to the checks that were written. Though it said "exported", I went ahead and clicked on export. It said they were already exported, but there was a continue button, so I chose that and the files were exported again. When I went to import the files on the desktop, there they were in the downloaded files window. Don't ask me why or how. But this is why sometimes I don't like QB Online Payroll. Consistency is not always the best.
