Quickbooks Desktop Direct deposit intial setup cant verify Bank account

I set up Direct Deposit for my employees in the middle of the process i had to change bank accounts.  So QB wants me to verify my old bank account that the small transactions were sent to, However I no longer have that bank account.  My subscription shows old bank account information and do not know how to change it.

My Desktop has all the correct bank account information and EIN in the setup.


I need advice on how to cancel the direct deposit setup im in the middle of so I can restart the Direct deposit setup.

Hey there, Active. This question depends on whether you have QuickBooks Assisted Payroll or not. If you do, contact us to make the change for you. If you don't have QuickBooks Assisted Payroll go ahead and follow these steps below on how to change the account information:

  1. Select Employees at the top of your screen.
  2. Next select My Payroll Service.
  3. Then select, Accounts/Billing Information.
  4. You'll now have a prompt to sign in with your Intuit Account login.
  5. Now navigate to the Payroll Info section. Under the Direct Deposit Bank Account, select Edit.
  6. Input your payroll PIN then select Continue.
  7. Enter the correct banking information, then select Update.
  8. Make sure the confirmation appears, and then select Close

Now, I suggest you run through steps 1-5 one more time to double-check the system took the changes. Just let me know if you need anything else, and I'll be glad to help.
