I'm here to ensure you're able to print a copy of your 1096 form in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @Javid. This way, you can keep a file for you and your CPA for future use.
When you electronically file your 1099s and 1096, you'll receive an email that contains the link to download the employer copy of the forms. However, you can always go back to the Vendors page to print your 1096 forms in QBO. Let me guide you how.
In case the form needs to be aligned, select No, it doesn't line up, and then select Next. Then re-select the 1096 Form, and select Print on a 1096 Form.
To learn more about 1099s, you can refer to this article: Common 1099 questions. It answers the most frequently asked questions like creating and filing the said form.
Let me know if you have other 1099 and 1096 forms concerns in QuickBooks. I'm just around to help. Take care always.

Thank you for your post and suggestion. That worked well and I was able to print what I needed.
Thank you for your post. This was an easy fix to what I needed as I was able to print what I needed.
This solution does not help if you did not print the 1099s and 1096 at the time you filled them. If you did not make your own pdf at that time I cannot see an option to do so at a later date. You are able to print 1099s individually from the Taxes column in QBO but you cannot print all 1099s or a 1096 at all.
Sorry, you CAN print but you are unable to get a pdf copy with the information on an actual form. I forgot how petty Intuit is with its PAPER forms/checks and how it makes it impossible or difficult to use any 3rd party product or use this service without also requiring you to use their proprietary forms rather than to just produce a PDF that includes the form. I had QuickBooks send the 1099's... trying to get a 1096 so that I can send copies to the state. Instructions above don't seem to work for what I need.
I never received an email about filing the 1099's. Now I've been able to print out the 1099's, but not the 1096. It says that the 1099's were mailed to the vendors, but I can't tell if anything has been filed with the IRS and now I'm trying to get the 1096 so I can send a copy to the state.
Still don't get what you're telling me. I get the following message after I see the two 1099's that have apparently already been sent: There are no vendors who match the criteria.
There is no option to "Print and mail"... not getting to a 1096.
I understand what you feel, @Patricia2349.
Let me make it up to you by sharing some information about printing 1096 forms in QuickBooks Online.
Please know that QBO and QuickBooks Contractor Payments are unable to provide Form 1096. Thus, it is why you can't get a printed copy to send to the state. If you are filing electronically, Form 1096 isn't required by the IRS.
As an alternative, you can download and print a copy of the form outside QBO, then fill it out using the 1099 details. To get the same info, you can view a summary of your e-filed 1099s from the 1099s filings tab.
Here's how:

Thank you for addressing my issue. I called the state... they don't need the 1096. Issue resolved.
Thanks again.
