Quickbooks Online Payroll adjustment

I process payroll for a client via QuickBooks online.  For some unknown reason the software keeps making adjustments to one of the employees.  It made filing W-2s for 2019 a disaster.  I was not able to get the corrections made via Intuit support.  I processed W-2s outside of the software.  Now I am preparing quarterly payroll returns only to find the system has once again made adjustments behind the scenes.  Does anyone have and ideas on how to stop this or possible reasons that may cause this to happen?  Any support would be appreciated!

Quickbooks Online Payroll adjustment

I have already done that.  Back in January I spent several unbillable hours with no resolution.  Every time someone claimed to fix one issue they caused another issue.  All the changes are made on the QBO side.  I have not entered any corrections myself.  I am the only person who has access to the payroll.  I am currently in a chat trying to fix this quarter's issue.  I have been on a chat for 1 hour and 35 minutes.  They are still working on how to look at a report that shows the correct.  My confidence is so low right now.

Quickbooks Online Payroll adjustment

The Chat agent was no help.  The agent could not tell me why the issue happened or suggest a resolution.  The issue is there was a payroll correction made to an employee of one of my clients that I process payroll for.  This started in 2019.  I spent days and hours with support to get it fixed.  No resolution at that time.  It was January and I was trying to prepare 1099 forms and W-2 forms for several clients.  I had no additional time to spend with support telling me they fixed it only to find out another adjustment was made.  So I processed payroll returns and W-2 forms with another software.  Now I find out this has happened again and after 2 hours on a chat line am told there is nothing they can do for me and they offered no other options.  So if you really care about helping me let me know how I can contact you via email or phone.  At this point I am ready to take all my payroll clients to another software package.  I cannot spend every quarter going through this frustration.

I am having the same exact issue. They keep saying "this isn't the service we like to hear" and then do nothing to make it better. It's infuriating that now I have to go use another software. I recommend so many people use QBO and their payroll that this is infuriating.

I am having the same issue almost a year later. AND I have had MANY issues with their online payroll recently. I have spent about 10 billable hours in the last month. QBO sent out W2s on an account that I used for one month last January then cancelled. I believe they also kept filing quarterly returns for $0 despite the cancellation.  They have also setup people improperly by not collecting taxes but there is actually no way to set someone up this way so how was this done? The employee had all the correct federal and state information but was not collecting state taxes. The drop down was locked and I had to call and have QBO fix it. They next payroll they just took $700 out of the employees check as a payroll adjustment. I am beyond low confidence and will be looking for a better payroll app as soon as possible.

I have moved almost all clients back to Desktop payroll and just JE the cost over to QBO each time. Most of my clients have less than 10 employees, so it is a pretty simple process. I have found that QBO payroll is absolute garbage. The desktop version is quite simple, so I'm not sure why they felt the need to mess it up so bad when they coverted to Online. 

 

I run payroll, quarterly reports, and YE reports all out of Desktop. Only downside is having to have access to that exact computer to process but I use Google Remote Desktop when traveling to access the "base computer" and haven't had much trouble. I also have a client that uses a hosted desktop, but those can be expenseive and really only necessary if more than one person needs access at the same time.
