When will we see the 2018 940 and W2/W3 form on our desktop Quickbook Pro updates?
Usually not until after the first of the year, after the IRS has released the finalized form and Intuit has updated it for release in QB.
i have quickbooks pro 2018 and this is my first year running my payroll. I can't print the form 940 from qb. Is it because it is still not available or am i missing something?
Thanks
You've come to the right place, Vane.
Let me begin by congratulating you on running your first year of payroll. It'll be a pleasure to provide some insight about the 940 forms.
As Lexiesmemere mentioned, the form will only become available when the IRS has released the finalized form. I'm happy to inform you that we were able to receive it and have updated the old forms in QuickBooks.
To get the form and print it, you need to have an active QuickBooks Desktop Enhanced Payroll subscription and the latest tax table update. If you're subscribed, then let me walk you through the steps on how to get the update:
Select Download entire payroll update.
I'm also including our detailed guide on how to print forms and get payroll updates, just in case.
That should do it! I'm confident that with these resources, you'll be able to print the form like a pro in no time.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do to be of assistance. I'm always here to provide help and answer any questions that you may have.
Thank you! i completed the form and it was really easy.
Thanks for the help.
