I am getting ready to shut my office and can't refile anyone! Very upset over this.
Please let us know if anything gets fixed before due date of the 941 form. Will hold off mailing for a week and see what happens.
Unbelievable the errors with payroll shutting off for no reason, bogus lines on forms, getting very bad.
Any updated information as to when this issue will be fixed????
We are getting down to the wire here. I'm not understanding why they can't at least turn on override for line 13f, so we can carry on. This is a serious issue that needs to be corrected, but we also need to be able to get our clients taxes completed in a timely matter.
I attempted to prepare 1st Qtr 941 yesterday. Spent ridiculous amount of time in busy season looking for the source of the number on line 13f before starting my web search.
Please add me to the list. I am a Reporting Agent and must use that version of Form 941.
I too lost hours multiple days trying to get ahold of them after being disconnected many times. Finally got ahold of someone who was starting to understand there really is an issue, stated he needed to reach out to someone else there and would call me back at a specific time, on a specific day only to never call me back. I'm hoping enough people will complain about it and get it resolved. They are so frustrating to deal with, unless they want to sell you something!
People should not have to take the time to be added to a "List" to get this fixed. It effects everyone of my clients that has payroll, 35 clients! I don't have the time to report each client to your "list"!! Just send out the fix to all clients via "Payroll Update"!!!!!! Such terrible service for the high rate of the annual payroll service. So dissappointing
I have 20 clients that I need to efile Form 941 for. I was on the phone with QB earlier in the week and they told me that a new update would be out later in the week. I saw a new update today that came in automatically, it said that is updated the Reporting Agents 941 form - however when I went to prepare Form 941 it is still putting information in Line 13f.
This is completely ridiculous - have moved several clients to other payroll applications because of QB. Definitely anyone in QBO we have moved to an other payroll application as that payroll module is awful. Very, very frustrated and disappointed with QB.
We are reporting agents also, and using the regular form is fine, it has the area for the reporting agent. A very solid work-around.
Thank you for the tip!!!
Please be aware that you cannot E-File the regular Form 941 as a reporting agent.
What other payroll applications have you found that work? I'm stumped right now.
The regular Form 941 works. That is what I have been using, no problems with COBRA on line 13f
The regular Form 941 can not be e-filed. This is a service we provide our clients. Currently we are not able to provide that service until this gets fixed.
FIXED!!!
I just downloaded a payroll update and the Form 941 (Reporting Agents Only) has been fixed!
Can it be efiled though as a reporting agent? I know it can be printed and paper filed.
I just ran an a payroll update and the 941 Reporting agent form appears to be fixed for the line 13f issue! Yay!
And you cannot e-file a form 941 without the PIN from the IRS, which we have not received for any of our clients as of this date.
They must be going company by company?? None of ours are fixed even with update.
This is incredibly frustrating because my files got fixed but my coworker's didn't. She tried to follow these instructions and got NO WHERE with the person she spoke with - that had NO clue what was going on. There's got to be a better way to fix this.
Did she run the Payroll Update? Just running the update and then reviewing the form worked on my QB Desktop 2020 and 2021 versions. On my QB 2022 version there was a critical update so I actually had to restart my computer to get the correction to post.
Hi there, EG59860.
The file of your coworker may have been affected by the ongoing issue. If they've updated the tax table and get the same issue, you can ask them to contact our QuickBooks Live Support Team.
That way, their file will be added to the investigation (INV-69524). Here's how to get in touch with our Live Support Team.
For instructions on how to get the latest payroll update, check out this article: Download the latest tax table in QuickBooks Desktop. Also, please update QuickBooks Desktop as well to make sure you get the full functionality of payroll updates.
Don't hesitate to post again if you have other payroll concerns. I'm always around to help you.
Sadly MaryLandT that's exactly what she tried to do and got nowhere because the people that called her had no clue what was going on (even when she gave them the Investigation #). I spent >3 hours on the phone last week and my coworker can't afford to spend hours on the phone so we're pretty frustrated that this correction isn't being sent out at a more universal level or that it's not simpler to request the fix.
Please add me to the list for 941 forms not working. Spent awhile yesterday and no getting it to work.
Hi there, kdickerson40.
I want to make sure your QuickBooks account is added to the list. While I'm unable to pull up an account here in the Community Forum, I recommend contacting our Live Support Team.
They'll help add your account to the investigation so you'll receive updates regarding the issue via email. Here's how to get in touch with them.
Once fixed, you can start populating and filing payroll forms. Here's a guide for you: Learn how to e-file your federal tax forms and e-pay your federal taxes electronically. It provides steps from setting up and submitting forms.
