Can Quickbooks automatically multiply the time that a contractor clocked in Tsheets aka Time (becuase the contractors can select the client, class, and service there) by their cost rate (this cost rate is listed in their profile in QBs) to pay the contractor in payroll without the need to manually multiply their time by their rate?
I'd like the ability to do this automatically for contractors.
Especially for contractors that clock time and need to switch client names every few minutes and select the class and services most relevant for their entries on Tsheets aka Time.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and ideas with us, @nile2.
I'll share some insights about multiplying your contractors' time in QuickBooks (QB) Time.
Currently, there isn't a way to automatically multiply your contractors' time by their rate in QB Time. You'll need to manually calculate it.
I understand having this option is beneficial in running your business. I suggest sending your feedback to our Development team. This way, they can review your suggestions and might consider adding it in future updates.
Here's how:

Additionally, I'm adding this article that you can read for reference in case you want to learn about GPS tracking in QB Time: Use QuickBooks Time GPS Tracking as admin or manager.
I'll be around if you have any other questions about managing your contractor and QB Time. I'm more than happy to be of help. Stay safe!
I want the ability to pay contractors with Payroll, the same as an Employee can be paid; where the data from QBs Time is auto-populated in the entries with the contractor’s cost information. “For contractors, it is different. It needs to be entered manually in the section since its not the same as employees where they are being paid on an hourly basis. It the same set up in Quickbooks, but for Contractors, you just need to enter the amount and pay it directly.” I would like to change this so that paying Contractors by the hour with Payroll is easier and more in sync with Tsheets aka Quickbooks Time. I've sent this request as feedback to Quickbooks.
Hello there, @nile2.
I can see here that you've posted the same question twice. I'd recommend following the advice shared by my colleague in this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/employees-and-payroll/re-pay-contractors-by-the-ho...
Please let me know if you have any additional concerns with QuickBooks. We're always here to help.
So since you're always here to help could you also do that for me. I have one employee and am paying $180 a month for something I can do for free or you could get a programmer to put one more drop down tab that adds contractors time in... Not rocket science computer science!
Well, my experience was even worse. I wanted to do this, and was instructed that I need to upgrade to Quickbooks plus....Now I'm paying more for something that doesn't exist online, but the desktop version worked fine. Why not just fix this!
Has this been fixed yet? All the pieces to the puzzle are there. It seems odd that the fields all exist in Time and are all exported to QBO yet contractor hours are masked/blocked from being utilized in the payroll module in the same way they are for employees. Seems like a HUGE oversight by Intuit.
