I had something strange happen with my QuickBooks file. I use QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2021.
I just happen to need a list of current employees, so I went in and did a quick employee contact list and added birthdays. Looking at the list I noticed that two of the birthdays had changed. We have two employees that were born in 1943 and now both of them were listed at 2043. Why would QuickBooks change this number and has anyone else noticed changes like this? Since I do not do this list very often, I cannot tell you when it happened, but my guess would be with one of the recent payroll updates.

I appreciate you for sharing your concern here in the Community, Wendy.
There are no reported issues about employees' birthdays being changed in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). I'm here to help you modify the information to get the correct listing of your current employees.
The system won't automatically edit any information you've added to your file unless a user has updated it. For the time being, you can ask other users in your account about the changes.
To correct their birthdays, you can go through each employee's profile.
You can use this link to learn more about handling employees in QuickBooks Desktop: Details on how to configure and set up each worker, employee, contractor, supplier, or temp.
Once done, you're now ready to re-run your Employee Contact List report. I'm adding this link as your reference in customizing the details: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
If you have any other follow-up questions about your employees' date of birth, let me know by adding a comment below. It's my pleasure to provide additional assistance. Have a good one!
Thank you for all the information. I am the only one with a password to this file and I did not make the changes. And it is odd that it happened to two people born the same year and to no one else.
I've changed them back, but I assure you this is a glitch. Not something done intentionally.
Thanks for following up with the Community, WendyJT.
I've reviewed our ongoing/solved investigations and can confirm there's currently no records of subscribers reporting that some of their employee's addresses were updated without any users making the updates manually.
Since you've confirmed no users made these changes, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team if you feel there may be something in the product causing a change of address to occur without your approval. They'll be able to pull up the account in a secure environment, conduct further research with you, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.
They can be reached while you're using QuickBooks.
