Good day, @eraleigh.
Currently, using the batch action for direct deposit payments for contractors is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You can only record the payment one at a time for direct deposit.
I can see how this feature would be helpful for you and your business. We'll take note of the details of your suggestion. You can also send feedback to us about the feature.
Here's how:
1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Under Profile, select Feedback.
3. Share your feedback in the dialogue box.
4. Click Next.
Additionally, you can look for a third-party application that can integrate with QuickBooks in using the batch function for direct deposit payments. Just visit the following website: apps.intuit.com. You can also do this inside your company, just go to the Apps menu on the left panel and then enter a keyword in the search field.
I'm adding these articles that will guide you in paying your contractors using direct deposit and help you prepare and file taxes in QuickBooks:
• Pay a contractor with direct deposit
• Prepare and file 1099s using QuickBooks Online
Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions about QuickBooks. I'll be happy to help you out. Take good care!
You can utilize one of these free apps to schedule and pay your 1099 contractors, and integrate it with your QBO.

Thank you - I will look into those today.
Thank you - yes, it would be extremely helpful as I pay a lot of summer contractors and I thought when I started QB payroll I would be able to integrate them with the payroll as I have done with a previous 3rd party vendor. I will make the suggestion where indicated.
