Can I turn off the Tasks Feature

Thank you for sharing your concern here on the Community page, @patty. Let me share insights on managing the task feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

If you're trying to turn off the project task feature in QBO, the option is unavailable. Projects are enabled by default in QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced. Thus, you can only mark tasks as complete, canceled, or delete project transactions.

 

Here's how to change the status :
 

  1. On the left pane, select the Project tab.
  2. Open the project task you need to mark as complete/canceled.
  3. On the upper drop-down, select the status.
  4. Then close.

Here's how to delete the task transaction:

 

1. On the left pane, select the Project tab.

2. Open the project task and select the transaction tab.

3. Go to the Receive payment drop-down, then select delete.

4. Then Close.
