Can't enter new payroll service key

I have QB Pro 2019 desktop. Currentli I have Enhanced Payroll Accountant which is a $1.75 per direct deposit and I just purchased Enhanced Payroll which is $2 a moth per employee. I can't enter the new service key, even after I remove the prior key. When I ty to enter the new key it says "invalid Key". To verify the new key I setup a new company and was able to enter the new key.

How can I do this for all of my companies?

Can't enter new payroll service key

Let me welcome you to the Intuit Community, fmelton.

Updating the payroll profile can help activate your new payroll subscription.

To perform this task, we’ll have to gather personal details to pull up an account. I don’t want your company information showing here in the Community for safety purposes.

I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team to verify your subscription and assist in linking the service key to the new payroll subscription. Let’s go to the company file to get the contact details.

  1. Tap the Help menu at the top to select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. When the Contact Us window opens, type in the issue/topic in the field box and hit the Search button.
  3. Choose the options below on how you want to connect with our support team.

For future reference, please see the Firm of the Future article. It provides detailed information on how to make the payroll feature more efficient for your clients.

Additionally, the Enter or Edit Your Payroll Service Key article  contains instructions and screenshots on how to manage the information.

Keep me posted if you have additional questions or concerns. Please know I’m here anytime to answer you. Have a great rest of the day.
