Buy nowI am disappointed to learn that QBO will start withdrawing funds several days or weeks earlier than they have in the past. Instead of waiting until the taxes are due, they will withdraw the funds as soon as the payroll is processed. Because of the way we do our payroll, that could be a week earlier for federal taxes and several weeks earlier for state taxes. QBO is not providing any compensation for getting and holding our funds for weeks. This change does not provide any new functionality nor resolve any problems in payroll. This is a hidden increase in subscription fees with no additional benefit to their customers. Again, I am disappointed.

Yea, it's an obvious money grab by Intuit so they can earn interest on your money, sometimes for months, before they pay it to the agencies.
I am too. I’m going to quit Quickbooks , I’ve been with them since 1995. This is just (take a guess I was censored) taking the money like that and not allowing for autonomy.
"I have been with quickbooks and have several businesses on the platform. However, I am cancelling all of my QuickBooks subscription effective 5/31/26. The primary reason for this departure is the mandatory requirement for automated tax filing. As a business, we require full autonomy over how and when our taxes are filed to ensure they align with our specific accounting practices. Because your current platform no longer allows for this manual control, we will be migrating to a service that supports our preferred workflow.
Where do I send the bill for my time migrating my businesses over the next two months?
We will be looking for new software as well after using QB's for over 20 years with our 2 business's. QB's is not going to control when or how we pay our taxes. I have a feeling we won't be the only 2 looking for a new accounting software!
