Has anyone done this? I run a small in-home pet care company with max 10 employees. From what I gather if I switch from Full Service to enhanced l will receive more emails that will alert me to when I have to submit rather than the fact they were submitted. It also seems like I will have to be available more often and able to access my QB account. But will it require more work than that? Are the taxes and forms still calculated in QB? With it being $50/ month savings I am thinking this might worth it; however, I think my accountant is the reason I went with Full Service over Enhanced in the first place and she may disagree.
Any input would help. Thanks!
Hi there, @carleighakrug.
Thanks for allowing QuickBooks to serve your accounting needs. I'd be happy to get you pointed in the right direction so you can downgrade your payroll subscription.
When downgrading your payroll subscription, taxes will be calculated and you can still pull up your payroll forms. To do this, it'd be best to reach out directly to our Full-Service Payroll Team. They have the necessary tools to pull up your account securely and provide you with further details with the downgrade process.

Thank you for the info. You have made it very clear on how to downgrade but first I want to understand if I even should. Is there another article you can point me in the right direction? I am guessing it was my accountant who had me initially sign up for Full Service. What will it entail on my end as the main user for when operating within Enhanced vs Full Service?
Thank you.
Thank you for your help. I see now HOW to downgrade but before I do I want to be sure this is the best decision for myself and my small business. I am guessing the initial reason I went with Full Service was a recommendation by my accountant. If I downgrade what will be the day to day differences I will see as the main user? My only concern would be having access to my account if the payments are not scheduled on a consistent basis. Right now when I receive the confirmation receipt emails it seems at times there is no schedule. I would want to know the schedule so I could know when I needed to log into my account to make the payments. Is this all that would really change on my end? Thank you.
Hi there, carleighakrug.
Thanks for providing more information about our concern. Allow me to share additional insights about the effects of downgrading from Full Service Payroll to QuickBooks Online Enhanced.
If you're trying to switch to QuickBooks Online Enhance from Full Service Payroll, there will be a difference in handling and filing taxes. In Full Service Payroll, you don't have to worry about filing tax forms on time because Intuit will process it for you. While in QBO Enhanced, you'll need to process the forms by yourself. You will receive email notifications that will remind you to process your tax forms.
