Buy nowI am using Quickbooks online. The email the employee receives for paystub doesn't show the YTD totals for their deductions. They have to open the pdf in the attachment to see. Is there a way to fix it so they can see it in the email without opening the attachment?
There is a way, but Intuit is unlikely to do that. Only the attached PDF is an official pay stub. Adding more detail to the email won't change that.
Warm greetings, @chepp1. I understand that you want your employees to be able to view the YTD total in their email without having to open any attachments or pay stubs.
As mentioned by BigRedConsulting, the attached PDF is the only official pay stub. Currently, there's no option to automatically add the YTD total in the email body without opening the attachment. I see the advantage of having this functionality, so I recommend sending feedback to our product development team. They'll carefully review your idea and may consider it for future updates.

On the other hand, if you want to look closely at your business's finances, you can run a payroll report. It will provide a comprehensive overview of your company's payroll expenses, including salaries, bonuses, taxes, and other associated costs.
You can always return here whenever you require details on email notifications related to employees' paystubs. I'm always here to help.
