We recently transitioned from QBD to QBO and the payroll portion did not migrate over. Quickbooks support team assisted with entering in the employee historical data for 2022. The pay history on the payroll side is correct. However, when they inputted all of the data it also affected my chart of accounts and now my accounts are off by hundreds of thousands of dollars because my payroll shows its been deducted twice for the year of 2022 when it should have been added just as historical pay data. I have reached out to support numerous times and have had no luck getting any assistance. They ask me if I have reconciled my bank account (of course I have). PLEASE help me figure out how to fix this ASAP. Thank you.
Thanks for getting in touch with the Community, Jeneaneb.
Since some of your account balances are incorrect after Intuit helped enter historical payroll data, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Payroll Corrections support team. They'll be able to pull up the account in a secure environment and conduct further research with you.
They can be reached while you're signed in.
Here's how:
Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.
If there's any additional questions, I'm just a post away. Have a great day!
Hi ZackE,
I have already tried that 2 times with no luck. They do not understand at all what I am trying to explain. It is frustrating wasting time explaining it over and over to Quickbooks support who do not have the correct knowledge. I regret moving over from Desktop. If I knew it would create this big mess without the proper support I wouldn't have. I know there are support people within Quickbooks that do understand more than the ones being assigned to me I just need to find one or a supervisor.
I appreciate you for coming back to the thread and for the detailed information you've shared on what you've done to get help in fixing your issue, Jeneaneb. This isn't also the kind of service I want you to experience with the support and while utilizing QuickBooks. With this, let me point you to the right support team so a supervisor will further assist you on this Employee historical data issue.
I can see that you already reached out to our support, but I still suggest contacting them again. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment which we're unable to do it here in the Community. That way, they'll be able to deeply investigate the cause of the problem.

Hi ChristieAnn,
I have done that twice with no luck, no call back, it is super frustrating re-explaining everything to people who have no idea what I am talking about. Transfer me from one department to another. Hours wasted. What is the point of reaching out a third time? Why is it so hard to get in contact with a supervisor?
I see where you're coming from, @Jeneaneb. As a customer myself, I'd also want my employees' historical payroll data and account balances to be taken care of accordingly.
I'm here to share some updates regarding your historical payroll data issue in QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP).
For the time being, I can see that somebody from our corrections team has taken a look at your case and it's already under review. Rest assured that they'll contact you with an update once they've fully reviewed your account.
In case you don't hear back, or if another issue arises, please reach back out here in the Community, and we will be glad to take another look.
We appreciate your patience regarding this matter. If there's anything else you need or other QuickBooks-related concerns, please don't hesitate to let me know in the comment section below. I'm always ready to help. Take care, @Jeneaneb.
Hello Rea_M
I just got off the phone with Support again as previously suggestion, there is still no update, my books are off hundreds of thousands of dollars stemming from QuickBooks employee input error from my historical payroll data. I should have never trusted Quickbooks employees to get into my accounting. They should have chosen the option "Do not affect accounts" but they did not. It is the beginning of a new month, I am under pressure to get my books reconciled for the previous month, I have meetings with my supervisors tomorrow to go over reports and now have to explain to them what happened as well and assure them I competent in my job and this is not my fault, praying they understand and I do not get fired. This is more serious than I can explain and I need it fixed today, its been over a week. Please speak to a manager for me and get this resolved.
