Employees can't clock in to approved time sheets. How can I have it so they can clock in?

I have the time sheets approved every other Friday, but one employee works every Friday, and is unable to clock in half the time.  How can I make it so they can have those hours recorded? Can I schedule their hours in the sheet ahead of time, or is there a way to make sure it's connected to the next time sheet?

Any help is appreciated! I'm a Quickbooks newbie.

I'd like to an extend an official welcome to you to the QuickBooks Community, jsch.

Can you tell us more details what exactly happens when the employee is trying to clock on? Is there an error message? We're asking these questions to make sure that we're giving you the right information to sort this out.

Please reply back to us to share more details. Thanks.

Employees can't clock in to approved time sheets. How can I have it so they can clock in?

Hi @jsch.,

This is a common issue that can be fixed by following these steps:

1. Go to the Time Sheets tab and select the employee you want to edit.
2. Click on the Edit button next to the time sheet that needs to be approved.
3. Check the box that says "Allow clock in" and save the changes.
4. The employee should now be able to clock into the approved time sheet.

Hope this helps!

Thanks

Paul
