Thanks for reaching out to us today, @DJoreo.

At this time, QuickBooks Desktop isn't equipped to export Payroll data from one QuickBooks account to another. You'll have to manually enter the payroll transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.

There are 2 ways in entering your year-to-date amounts, either inside or outside of the Payroll Setup window. To enter historical payroll data using the Payroll Setup window, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Employees from the top menu.
  2. Select Payroll Setup
  3. Proceed to the Year-to-Date Payrolls section.
  4. Select Continue.
  5. Choose Yes if your company has issued paychecks this year. If there was no payroll click No and hit Continue.
  6. On the next screen, you have three choices: PaychecksTax Payments, and Non-Tax Payments. Hit Edit on Paychecks.
  7. In the Enter Paychecks by Employee window
  8. Click Finish Later to close the QuickBooks Payroll Setup window.

In case you want to enter historical payroll data outside the Payroll Setup window, see this article for more details: Enter historical payroll data in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

I also recommend getting in touch with your accountant to verify if they have the QuickBooks Desktop After-the-fact payroll. This allows them to efficiently enter, verify and adjust paychecks all from a single spreadsheet-style screen.

Also, if you need to enter payments that you've already made for taxes and other payroll liabilities from the beginning of the calendar year, you can refer to this article. Enter historical tax payments in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

Moreover, you can use the Intuit Interchange Format (.IIF) tool in importing your lists and transactions in QuickBooks.

I'm adding these articles that will guide you in adding payroll information and how to use a liability adjustment to correct employees’ year-to-date (YTD) or quarter-to-date (QTD) payroll info:

That should help you export your payroll data, @DJoreo. Let me know if there's anything else you need or if you have follow-up questions. Have a good one!
