Thank you for reaching the Community, ergul-harun.

Let me guide you in deactivating your employee in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

But before we start, may I know what's preventing you from deactivating your employee?

It's possible that you may need to delete or void the paychecks first to make your employee inactive. To change your employees status, follow these steps below:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. From the Payroll menu, click Employees.
  3. Select the employee to inactivate.
  4. Under the Employment column, click the pencil icon beside it.
  5. In the Status dropdown, then choose the appropriate status.
  6. Once you're finish, select Done.

I've added this link for more details in managing your employee's status on payroll.

You can also check out this article as your reference if you need to create a final paycheck for your employee.

Get back to me if you still need further assistance about payroll. I'll be around if your need me. Have a wonderful day!
