This is a very common issue for business owners and self-employed individuals, as formal pay stubs aren't available, Pam.
To show proof of income from QuickBooks Online (QBO), you’ll need to generate a Profit and Loss (P&L) report, also called an Income Statement. This report lists your business’s total income and expenses for a set period, showing your net income or loss. Lenders, landlords, and other organizations usually ask for this document to verify your income. Here’s how you can get it:

If both you and your husband earn income from the same business in QBO, you can use one P&L report and supporting documents for your joint application. If each of you has a separate business, you’ll just need to prepare documents for each, including P&L reports, bank statements, and tax returns. We recommend reaching out to the institution you’re working with to see what they accept as proof of self-employment income, then using the P&L report from QuickBooks as your main document.
